Essay on Global Warming

I chose global warming because it is important that we try to stop it. It is wearing away the earth and harming all of God's creatures and people. We need to take care of what has been given to us by God. It is caused by nitrogen, sun and pollution.

The results of my survey are 93.3% knew about global warming & 6.7% were unsure. Everyone knew what global warming was about. Some people seemed to care and most knew the answers to the questions.

To stop global warming we need to reduce carbon dioxide, have less trash, plant trees, use less electricity and plant and eat organic foods. We could carpool, ride bikes, buy hybrid cars and we can walk more. We all need to take action and be a part of the solution!

TTS JOS

I liked learning about Aquatic Biology the most. I loved getting in the river and catching all of the cool water macroinvertebrates. The water was cold and the current was strong. After catching the macroinvertebrates it was fun going to the lab and getting to identify what I was able to catch with the microscope was fun! Getting to swim in the river was the best.
I had so much fun at Junction, I wish we could go back again! Thank you Mrs. Bell, Mr. Snyder, Mr. Todd, Mrs. Gentry and Mrs. May for taking us!

Simple Machines

I enjoyed this assignment.

I learned that a bathtub is an incline plane. I learned that a stapler has a lever and a wedge. I think pulley's are cool. I like how the pulley was used to lower the TV out of the ceiling.

What I don't understand is how a ceiling fan and a propeller on a boat are incline planes.

I thought this game was alot of fun!!

WOW MRS. BELL WHAT AWESOME JOB!!!!!!
The Power Point was a lot of fun to read. I enjoyed learning that you can make ice cream from dry ice. We need to try this in class. I also thought the HHO gas was cool. We could save lots of money using HHO instead of fossil fuels. The slide on mixtures was interesting to me, I never really realized that substances are insoluble when they cannot be dissolved in water.
Now come on Mrs. Bell... lets make some Dry Ice Cream!

The Sweetgum is a tree that has a star like leaf with 5 to 7 points on it. It is green in the summer & yellow or purple in winter. The trunk is normally straight and does not divide into many branches. It grows smaller side branches that grow into a triangle shape when young. As the tree grows older it becomes more oval or rounded and the branches become larger in diameter.
The Sweeetgum grows in valleys, moist areas, along the bottom of sloped areas and sometimes in wooded areas. It is found mostly in the eastern United States .
The Sweetgum grows best on the moist clay and loamy soils of river bottoms where the water has washed away the banks. The density of the sweetgum increase with greater deposits of potassium and decreases with greater deposits of clay.
The climates varies with rainfall of 40 inches in the North and 60 inches in the South. The maximum temperature is 100 F and the low temperature is -5 F.
The Sweetgum reproduces from dry seed balls that drop from the tree.
